Alone In The Dark

Darkness always follows light
We're no strangers to the night,
We always fear what's not seen
The macabre terrors we dream.

The creaks and scratches in gloom
What horrors lurk in my room,
So, who's making those noises
whispers and terrible voices.

But all is not as it seems
Those are just bad dreams,
For the reals monsters
Are the monsters inside us.

“Alone In The Dark” talks about how we’re often scared of things we can’t see or understand, like darkness. But the poem suggests that our biggest fears aren’t outside but inside us, like our worries and doubts. So, the real battles are with ourselves.
